As part of a new relationship, BAA Training is growing in France and now offers Air France Airbus A320 Type Rating services.
At BAA Training simulator facilities in Barcelona and Vilnius, the Lithuanian aviation training provider will instruct approximately 170 pilots utilizing both full flight simulators and flight training apparatus. According to a statement from BAA Training, the first students will start their training in September 2022.
“We closely cooperate with dozens of airlines, including the largest industry players, which makes us fully aware of the challenges provoked by the aviation recovery,” commented Marijus Ravoitis, CEO of BAA Training. “We look forward to strengthening our existing relationship with Air France and would like to thank them for their continued trust.”
The move furthers BAA Training’s continuous expansion in France. BAA Training is constructing a new simulator facility close to Paris in collaboration with Transavia, the low-cost carrier of the Air France-KLM Group. Beginning operations in January 2023, the new facility will have 6 simulator bays that will house full flight simulators for the Boeing 737 and A320 aircraft.
In the past, BAA Training and Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile, a French aviation university, collaborated to establish an Ab Initio training program (ENAC).
