A video of the main wheel coming off the Boeing 747 Dreamliner shortly after takeoff from Taranto-Grottaglie Airport in Italy has emerged.

One of the wheels broke away from the undercarriage and hits the ground while bouncing off the runway in the footage.

Despite being made aware of the event, the crew decided to continue the trip to Charleston, North Carolina, where the plane safely landed.

The wide-body cargo aircraft known as the Boeing 747-400 Large Cargo Freighter (LCF) Dreamlifter was built to fly parts for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner between Italy, Japan, and the United States.
