As the plane approached its final approach, worried passengers on a Delta Air Lines flight to Atlanta, Georgia, tried to hold up a panel hanging from the ceiling.

One of the passengers on the flight, who goes by the username arnieatl, recorded the incident on camera and posted it to Instagram. The incident occurred on a flight from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI).

“Atlanta’s favorite hometown airline @delta and their ancient fleet stressing out passengers on DL2799 BWI-ATL with the plane cabin falling apart on final approach!” the uploader captioned, adding the hashtags #anxiety and #ancientfleet

The panel can be seen partially gaping open at the beginning of the video and hanging from the ceiling.

There are a number of passengers trying to grab the panel and holding their hands in place in case it falls.

The panel is being held in place by a passenger sitting directly below it as the flight continues.

The uploader claimed in the comments section that when he contacted Delta Air Lines to report the incident, the airline just instructed him to submit a complaint through its website.

Although the video did not specify the type of aircraft, FlightAware reveals that DL 2799 is typically flown by a Boeing B737-900 twinjet.
