At Singapore Changi Airport, DHL Express, a provider of international express services, has greeted the arrival of its brand-new Boeing 777 freighter.
The freighter has a 102-ton carrying capacity and is liveried in both DHL and Singapore Airlines (SIA) colors. Three times per week, SIA will operate it on routes from South Korea to the United States of America.
Five Boeing 777 freighters will be deployed thanks to a personnel and maintenance agreement agreed by DHL Express and SIA in March 2022. Pilots from SIA will fly these freighters, and SIA will also manage their upkeep.
After the second Boeing 777 freighter goes into service in November 2022, both freighters will fly six times per week on the route between Singapore and Incheon, Los Angeles, Honolulu, and Singapore.
Delivery of the final three freighters is anticipated to take place throughout 2023. After that, all five freighters will fly on routes connecting the US with Singapore through Australia and North Asia.
