INCIDENT: A Flair Airlines Boeing 737-800 ran off the runway during landing

On Friday morning, a Flair Airlines plane ran off the runway in Kitchener-Waterloo, southwest of Toronto at 6:30 AM.

Flight #FLE501 was operated by Flair Airlines aircraft out of Vancouver.

The Boeing 737-800 (reg. C-FFLC) jet is still in the grass as Transportation Safety Board of Canada investigators are on their way.

The Flair flight from Vancouver to the Airport of Waterloo International Airport (YKF) on Friday morning has been canceled, and the airport remained closed.

Rain and strong gusts up to 25 knots were the weather conditions according to the local METAR at the time of the landing (06:25L). The length of runway 26/08 is 7003 feet (2134 m).

None of the 134 passengers on board were reported hurt.

After getting off the plane, passengers were driven by bus to the terminal.
