Because the captain was sick in the toilet, an easyJet plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Edinburgh Airport.
EasyJet flight U26938 was forced to request an expedited landing, according to passengers, who claim the captain disappeared to the bathroom and never came out.
In the early hours of this June 12, EasyJet aircraft U26938 was approaching the airport, flying from Heraklion, Greece, to Edinburgh, Scotland.
At around 1.20 a.m., the pilot reported an emergency and requested an expedited landing, with the first officer taking control of the jet.
According to passengers, the pilot was observed entering the plane’s toilet and did not exit until the jet had landed.
“The plane was met on the runway by five fire engines and two ambulances and after landing.
“The very young-looking co-pilot announced on the tannoy that the emergency response was due to the captain taking ill.”
