Videos show the moment a LATAM Airlines Airbus A320 (flying under the registration CC-BHB) collided with a fire truck while attempting to take off from Lima, Peru’s Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM).
On November 18, 2022, the incident took place. The plane, which was delivered to the airline in November 2017, was due to depart the airport in the capital city of Peru at 2:55 PM local time (GMT -5) in the direction of Juliaca Inca Manco Capac International Airport (JUL), which is located just to the southeast of LIM, according to data from flightradar24.com.
Later, the Peruvian department of LATAM acknowledged that the accident involved the plane that took off on Flight LA2213. There are two casualties from the fire truck that crashed with the aircraft on the runway, even though all passengers aboard the aircraft successfully evacuated.
The airport’s operating company, Lima Airport Partners, has stated that it is currently looking into what caused the tragedy.
