Passengers were treated to an unpleasant spectacle when a naked passenger caused a three-hour delay on a Lufthansa aircraft from Munich International Airport (MUC) to Sofia International Airport (SOF),
On June 23, 2023, around 16:00 local time, flight LH 1704 was scheduled to leave MUC airport.
Before the Airbus A320 even took flight, a passenger, a 27-year-old lady, apparently began taking her clothes off.
The aircraft then made a loop back toward the gate, and many police officers were dispatched to the cabin to assist in controlling the screaming passenger.
NTV, a German media station, said that despite the police’ efforts to calm her down and cover herself, the woman would not do either. Then one of the policemen attempted to cover the woman with a blanket.
The officer was then bitten on the left forearm by the woman. Officers were forced to employ “immediate coercion” at that time in order to remove the passenger forcibly from the airplane. State police then transported her to a nearby hospital.
