After receiving its first Boeing 737 MAX in April 2023, Qatar Airways started using the aircraft for commercial flights.

On May 9, 2023, commercial flights using the Boeing 737 MAX, registered as A7-BSC, commenced between Kuwait International Airport (KWI) and Doha Hamad International Airport (DOH), Qatar. The plane made four flights on May 9 before making a second trip along the same path on May 10, 2023.

The plane was delivered to Qatar Airways on April 13, 2023. On April 14, 2023, the narrow-body plane took off from Everett Paine Field (PAE), Washington, United States (US), and made a stop at Keflavik International Airport (KEF), Iceland.

The aircraft was seen on numerous test flights between April 24, 2023, and May 8, 2023, from and to Doha International Airport (DIA), as well as from DIA to DOH and back again, perhaps so staff could become familiar with the aircraft.

On May 3, 2023, another Boeing 737 MAX with the registration number A7-BSE landed at DOH, indicating that it will also soon start operating commercially. A7-BSB, A7-BSF, A7-BSG, A7-BSH, and A7-BSI are the other five of the type that are slated to be delivered to the airline, according to data from ch-aviation.com.

Flightradar24.com records show that on May 9, 2023, A7-BSB conducted two test flights. On May 1, 2023, it also traveled from Boeing’s painting facility in Portland International Airport (PDX) to PAE.
