Turkish Airlines reported a first-half 2022 net income of $737 million, with second-quarter revenue exceeding pre-pandemic performance of $203 million.
The airline, which has its base in Istanbul, reported in its most recent financial report, which was made public on August 12, 2022, that overall revenues climbed by more than 27% and reached $7.6 billion between January and June of that year.
With 5.2 million international and 2.7 domestic passengers, the airline had a 21% rise in foreign operations from 2019 levels.
More than 7.8 million passengers sailed on Turkish Airlines aircraft in July 2022 alone, the Turkish flag carrier reported. This represents a 9.9% increase over July 2019.
Turkish Airlines was able to increase both the number of its aircraft—386 jets—and its network—to a total of 335 destinations—during the first half of the year.
