This incident involved a 32-year-old United Airlines Boeing 767-300 with the registration number N641UA that occurred on Saturday, July 29, 2023.

The aircraft was operating UA702 between Newark (EWR) and Houston (IAH).

The flight was routine until the landing, as reported by The Aviation Herald and flagged by @xJonNYC.

According to reports, the aircraft landed extremely firmly on runway 26L at Houston Intercontinental Airport. There were no incidents as the jet landed or as it taxied to the gate.

The damage was discovered during a post-flight inspection

There were only three knots of wind at the time of the incident.

The event is currently being looked into by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
