Eight more Boeing 767 freighters have been ordered by American transportation operator United Parcel Services (UPS), and deliveries should begin in 2023 or 2025.

The company’s 767 fleets will grow to 108 aircraft as a result of this new agreement, which builds on UPS’s prior purchase of 19 767s, according to a statement released by Boeing on August 29, 2022.

“The additional 767s will help us continue to deliver what matters to UPS customers around the world. This is a very versatile aircraft that we operate across every region of the globe,” said UPS Executive Vice President and President US Nando Cesarone.

“UPS will operate more than 100 767 Freighters with this order and will build its fleet of Boeing and Boeing-heritage airplanes to more than 260 airplanes,” said Ihssane Mounir, Boeing senior vice president of Commercial Sales and Marketing.

UPS purchased 108 767 freighters in total after being the 767 freighter’s first customer in 1995. According to Planespotters.net, UPS now operates 291 aircraft, including the 747, 767, 757, MD-11, and A300.
