Air Lease Corporation’s first Airbus A330neo aircraft was delivered to Virgin Atlantic (ALC). The A330neo, which will be an important part of the company’s fleet development, is the UK airline’s 50th Airbus aircraft.
With the objective of eventually growing the fleet to 16, Virgin Atlantic has bought 13 A330neo aircraft (six of which are being leased from ALC), making it the first operator of the type in the UK.
In comparison to competing for aircraft of a prior generation, the A330neo, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, offers double-digit lower operational costs per seat and 25% lower fuel burn and carbon emissions.
The A330neo, like other Airbus aircraft, has a cutting-edge cabin air system that guarantees a clean and secure atmosphere during the flight.
262 passengers in three classes, including 32 upper-class seats with privacy doors and two of the carrier’s new retreat suites, can be accommodated on board.
