A Qatar Airways Airbus A350-1000 performing a flight from Doha to Tokyo Narita, was en route at FL330 about 60nm east of Seoul when the crew had to shut down one of their engines due to engine chip indication and oil leak.
About 35 minutes after leaving FL330, the crew diverted to Seoul and drifted the plane down to FL180 before turning it around and making a safe landing on runway 34L.
About 51 hours after arriving in Seoul, the aircraft is still there.
A passenger claimed the crew informed them they were making a technical diversion to Seoul Incheon. They were transported to Tokyo via another plane.
